No regrets and no leaking. Now that I have the lights, I love them even more than I did before. I would not have another SD without them.
Go for it.....you will not regret it either!

That's awesome. I was worried that maybe they may leak since they were not installed at the factory...although I am not sure what difference it would make except that the wholes would probably be painted at the factory. Everything else I am sure would be the same.

I appreciate the info. I am buying the wiring harness and lights this week from ford to get this started. I just bought a 2001 SuperDuty Crew Cab. I am looking forward to having them on and working.

Location of 08 roof lights harness connection

Hi there everybody, i have gotten so much useful information from all the posts, enough that i went ahead and added them to my 2008 f350, the only problem is i cant seem to figure out how the connect the wiring harness. It is an OEM part (part #15A404) and have looked under both the passenger side and drivers side kick panel. I looked at the Motomans install pics and description however I know there have beens some changes from the previous years superdutys. Im so frustrated trying to find the connection and/or how to connect it. Any pictures would be amazingly helpful, thanks!

with the side panel off of the driver side...

break your arm in three places, then snake it around until you can touch the inside of the outside wall of the fender. Your hand should bump into a connector that is not connected to anything (unless you have Satellite radio, in which case this connection will replace that one).

you will not be able to actually SEE it. You just have to see it with your fingertips. If you have big hands or large arms... good luck.

Thanks

Thanks so much TexasRebel, just as you said, my arm had to twist into wierd positions and even got some cuts and scrapes along the way but i found it!! I do appreciate ur post, it made life so much easier and my 350 looks amazing now. Who would have figured the hard part would be finding the stupid connection.

thanks again
