Shift **** Removal M5od Trans

I am planning to change the shifter **** on my f150 to something a little more stylish.

How does it come off and what thread size (if any) is on the shifter.

The **** on my M50D ('95) is just a slip on. No threads - just pull on it and it comes off. Not sure if yours is this way too. I was kind of disappointed when I saw it.

I got mine off with channel locks and a lot of twisting.

Thanks for te heads up.

No threads huh, wow that is depressing.

I want to put an aluminum Hurst t Tee handle and it has 3/8" nc threads. I may just pull it off to see if I can tap the little stub.
