Big back window

I'm looking at jumping in with both feet! I like what I see in this forum! My question is I'm looking at a 56 big window, and want to know how to tell if this is an original with info from the vin?

Thanks

Post the vin # and tell us what it has (6 or v8 etc) and we can help.

There is a little more info needed off the vin plate., but here is what I can tell you so far:
f-100, the Y should be a V this means it had a 272 cu. in. 2bbl 167 hp.
The 6 is the model year (56)
The K means it was built in Kansas City

There should be a color code, rear axle code, production code, and a trans code on the vin tag.
You wont be able to tell byany of this info if it is truly an ORIGNAL production BIG WINDOW.
