I see Guys Posting All the time Asking About MPG For 5.4 , V10 , PS. So I decited To start This .Please Post Your Milage As Accurate As Possable . I Have 2 SD 1 Gas 1 Diesel .
I Have a 99 Lariet F 250 SC 5.4 ,
4:10 & 50000 miles & 39 Gallon Tank.
I Just Filled Up $ 1.54 Per Gallon .
I Rest The Trip Computer and it Said 384 Miles Before Emty
10.5 MPG .
When i Fill My diesel I will Post it.

 

2000 F-250 SD, Supercab, V-10, 4x4, 5-sp manual and tonno cover, with 6200 miles on the truck.

I am getting 12.8 miles/gal avg. (13.2 hi/12.3 low)

Last fillup (39 gal. tank) trip computer said 726 miles to empty, this is unrealistic. 650 miles is about average on 35 gal. 18.57mpg :7

2001 F-350 Dually PSD SC 4x4 8ft.bed Auto Trans with 4500 miles. Best yet, 17MPH highway, 14 around town. All milage is solo. Have yet to check it with 4000 lbs of camper and equipment.

I checked I about a week ago when I filled it up for him. Another thing is that is has always had around 4000lbs of tools in the back since it was new.

 

12.3-12.8 mpg 60% city/ 40% hwy

14.5-16 mpg hwy

7.5-10 mpg towing 6300 lb TT

 

City: 10-11 mpg

Highway: 15-16 mpg

Towing highway: 10-11 mpg (6000 lb trailer)

The truck needs a higher overdrive ratio.

It Cost Me 29.00 to 31.00 to fill . the trip computer said 430 mpg .thats about 20.00 to 30.00 bucks cheaper then my 5.4 and 50 more miles . so if you keep a diesel for about 4yrs. you will pay for diesel. pluse the resale is better on the diesel . every page Like Kelly Blue Book & nadaguides show this. And i know My trip computors are real close to being right on the money.

 

1985 F-350, 133,300 miles, 460 V8, carb, 4.10:1 differential, 30" tires. So far I've only put one tank of gas thru it, city/freeway driving, empty to light load (furniture moving). And the news you were waiting for: 8.66 mpg for that tankfull.

you sure about that "430 MPG" number mmusky1 . That's great mileage for a truck.;-)

 

Right now were avg. 14.5 Around town ,and as much as 18 on the highway . When i was in Ten. I would get number 1 diesel
I was getting 22 -to 23 mpg .

 

OK - Here Goes -
My 1990 460 Reg Cab 4x4- 355:1 5sp. got 12-14-(14.5 -only Hwy)

1997 PSD - 4dr-F-350 4x4 - 356:1 5sp. got max Hwy (@70mph) 15.5mpg <- this was a real peice of junk - If I hadn't have been a die-hard Ford driver I would be in a Chevy right now..... I had to sell the thing at 66000 dang PSD broke down contantly - I will say that Ford did give me assistance toward the 2001 truck....

2001 v10-entended cab 4x4 - 373 Auto - Seems to be getting 13-14 Hwy - maybe 11-12 city - only have about 4000 on it.

Since new the mileage seemed to get better every other fill up.

I have no trip computer so I know these are correct. Since i figure it out manually at each fill-up

The mileage reading that shocked me the most was 18mpg pulling a 3000# trailer at 65mph for 350 miles

Pretty happy with this truck overall, I had a 1995 nissan 4cl before this truck and I never got better than 18MPG and towing the same trailer as above I would get 11 mpg

4:30 or 3:73 ??
