Do you have the original brake pads on and are you still under warranty. If they are the original pads and you are under the 3 yr 36 K miles you can go to a Ford dealer and tell them the problem and they will replace them with improved pads with an anti rattle clip. I know this from experience it took a while to figure out what the problem was but they took care of it. If you are out of factory warranty then it is time to upgrade to performance stuff anyway.

A high pitched squeal is usually associated with a high frequency vibration. I've had this problem on my Mustang. To solve it:
1. Be sure the new pads are bedded properly. To do this you want to make about 6 to 10 stops from 30-35MPH with moderate brake presure. Then about 2 or 3 stops from 40-45MPH with heavy brake pressure. Then let the brakes cool for at least 15 minutes. Do not drag the brakes.
2. Use some brake anti-squeal goop on the back of the pads where they make contact on caliper.
YMMV,
