Arm rests
I am looking at purchasing a new arm rest for my left-hand door of my 1960 Ford F-100 but am running into some problems. I have two catalogs which list the arm rest as a 57-66 arm rest, and another which lists the arm rest 61-66. The picture they provide makes it difficult to tell if the reproduction model looks like my original or not. Are the 57-60 and 61-66 arm rests indeed different? If so, does anyone know the part number for a 57-60 left-hand door arm rest?

'57-'60 are definately different than '61-'66. For years I've only seen the '61-'66 being advertised.
4-speed is right. Dennis Carpenter does have them listed, and the part number they are listed under is the correct part number (matches the original Ford part number) for the '57-'60.
B9A 24140 (RH)
B9A 24141 (LH)
The weird thing like you said, is that they are listed as ''57-'66.
Either they have finally started re-producing them, or it is a misprint.
Theres is a picture of it on the online catalog, one page down.

4-speed,
Glad to hear they are making these!
Chuck,
That number came right out of my 1959 Ford Truck parts and accessories catalog. You're right, the "A" does usually mean "car". I'm wondering if this arm rest was shared with one of the Ford car lines?
Also wondering why Ford designated new part numbers for each year? Hmmm, the plot thickens..............

Wow, talk about confusion. Ok, before I place the order, I want to get this straight. If I order the B9A-6424121-BL (black) I will receive the 100% correct replacement for the left-hand arm rest for my 1960 F-100 with the Custom Cab option, not some custom 57-66 company invented item?
What is interesting is the fact the middle part number matches the original 1960 part number, but the B9A is a Ford car. Also, were passenger-side arm rests and option for 1960? All the literature I have seen said only left-hand arm rests were available, and only with the Custom Cab otption.
