Aftermarket Exhaust System V-10
I am looking for a aftermarket exhaust system and just wanted to get a little insight into what is the best system for the money one puts out.. I was looking at the catback system, but I thought I might go with a complete system.
Can anybody give me a run down of the catback, or the complete system? what manufacturer?, price?, Ease of installation?, Quality...

just put a flowmaster two chamber on last weekend.
sound is different to say the least. but i am getting used to it.
also added a fipk which i believe fixed some of the sound problem (it was and still is a bit "tinny").
at idle, th truck sounds great.... some gas and it sounds not too bad... punch it and well.... a strange sounding beast indeed.... not as many have described it as teh little rice cars that the kids drive, but more towards an idny car type of sound.... once and a while i get a nice little bit of rapping at idle... if i could figure out how to get more of that sound, i'd be sold that is is a BAD *** system!
ok.... price.... i just went with the flow and a downturn right out of the muffler. muffler is in the stock location and the downturn dumps right before the rear axel.... this cost me $125 installed and took about thirty minutes.
i will have sound clips and some pics up hopefully by the end of next weekend.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-Feb-02 AT 01:59 AM (EST)]Do a search on Borla or Banks. Both these companys make great header and cat-back systems. Gibson and JBA also make headers. Borla, Banks and Gibson are probabally the quietest and Flowmaster, Magnaflow and others being louder. I recomend a complete sysem. Headers, y-pipe and cat-back. Install is an all day affair but doable by the avarage guy.
Borla header kit: $560
Borla cat-back: $400+/-

I had a Banks Power pack put on my truck, plus their trans command, and engine chip. All done at Banks shop in Azusa, cost a little more than $3k out the door. Runs better, doesn't sound like a vacum cleaner anymore. Sounds a little like an old straight six with a split header, just not as loud. Still getting around 12-13 hwy(70 mph), 10 towing. I like the change in the way the trans shifts, and it holds speed on downgrades better.

Aftermarket Exhaust System V-10
I just had Flowmaster 30 series put on mine this week. So far I like it, it's not V8 sound but is very nice. I took the muffler off behind the cat a month or so ago, that was a little more noise than I wanted to make at 04:00 in the morning leaving for work. So far the wife hasn't even noticed that changed out the muffler, guess that's a good thing. It did seem the let the engine rev quicker and smoother, combined with the Diablo it's a whole different truck. I have so far lost two stop lite races, it just doesn't seem to move forward if the tires are spinning. I'll have to re learn when to really step into the power, or maybe just twist the ESOF for the short duration.
