Ok, guys I have a 1984 ford f-150 and while playing in the bush I smoke a tree and collapsed the right hand side of the frame, I will be replacing/boxing the entire frame all I need to know is what years the frame used in my truck used in other trucks, and if I can use a 2 wheel drive frame.
I would like to start on monday so please get back to me as soon as possible.

Thanx in advance for you input

any frame from 80-91 will work, 92-96 had the accordian crunch area on the front frame horns, so i think its a little different. it shouldnt matter if its 2wd or 4wd.

80-91 F100-F350 2wd will all be useable, if the donor is 4x4, it has to be a F150.
92-97 F250 HD/F350 2wd may also be viable, they didn't get airbags, so, they might not have gotten the crumple zone either.

No, the 2wd and 4wd F150 chassis is identical, and the 2wd F250 and 350 front suspensions also use the same mounting points.
