1996 F150 5.0 - are there any superchargers/blowers that stick out the hood? I'm looking for a blower that sticks out top the hood for my F-150. Is there even one made that'll work on my engine? I want that mean look.

 

You're probably talking about the big honking 6-71s from back in the day. A big roots blower is what you want, but with EFI, you won't have the nifty carbs or scoop coming out of the top of the blower. Most kits will probably fit under the hood too. Of course, you could always sandwich an air-water intercooler under it to raise it up through the hood

FWIW the thru the hood blowers virtually eliminate your vision of the right front of your truck or anything approaching from the right front. They may look cool but they are very dangerous on the street.
