Supercharger kits for 5.4L
Hello,
Can anyone recommend a supercharger kit that can be installed on a 2001 F-150 5.4L, that would be relatively painless to install? Who makes these kits (Paxton, etc...)?
I would like to get some extra power but maintain the reliability.
I realize that exhaust changes and reprogramming the chips will be neccessary.
Thanks a bunch...

Hey Pete,
The Procharger is supposed to be a pretty easy install, relatively inexpensive and pretty reliable, according to most of the opinions I've read here. I've heard mixed reviews on the Kenne Bell. Some love them and some question the customer support.
Atleast those were the two I was thinking about.
Talk to ya soon,
cousin Steve.

http://home.att.net/~jroal/ I would highly recommend reading what this site has to say from an independant guy who knows his stuff..The Kenne Bell site also has some great info on the mod 5.4...Do some reading..It will make it worth your while..My 2 cents worth are also the Kenne Bell,Allen Engineering and the Pro Charger..For towing anything thought I think the Bell would be better since low end power is not that great on these trucks..By the way I talked to a guy who switched from 3.55 gears to 4.10s on one of these with stock tires..His fuel mileage stayed the same but power to the ground went way up and towing was WAY better..Food for thought..
