Question F800 Big Job

Anyone ever seen one of these? A buddy of mine bought this one the other day, it's in great shape and he drives it fairly regularly. First one I've seen. Was originally a Fire Truck, but was changed to a flat bed. The mileage is low... I think around 60,000. The factory hood scoop is too cool.

More pics in the gallery link below.

Cool, I didn't know these body-style trucks had scoops. I knew some of the newer ones did.

What is unique about the "Big Job" ?

Owner says it has a 332, is that correct? I was suprized the Y-block was available that large in 56.

The 332 Lincoln Y block engine sounds correct. My dad and I have a 1957 F-800 BigJob Firetruck which we are restoring (http://members.ll.net/acfd/). It also has the 332 engine, but not the hood scoop.

I think that most fire trucks were red back in the day!
