302 knock sensor

Hi got the 82 302 changed over to the 92 302 and I may or may not have a problem There is no hole for the knock sensor on the 82 block can I just drill a hole like the 92 block has and tap it to put the knock sensor in it or is there someone that has run into this problem that knows what to do about it so far this is been the only problem I had. Thanks for any and all help I would like to have the engine in tomorrow know what I mean LOL Jason Froehlich

use one of the accessory mount holes on the cylinder head. the hardware store should have the fittings to go from 3/8 to the size on your sensor.
