F250 Overhead Computer
I tried the fix the display myself but my fingers wouldn't hold steady. I found a place in Florida (Multi Market) who fixed the dang thing in less than a week for about $35. Unless you have the soldering pencil, great eyesight and steady hands, I would send it off and let someone else fix it. The resistors are pretty small.

I used these guys last week
Ford Truck Parts - Full Warranty On All Ford Truck Parts
They fixed it the same day that they received it and shipped it back out the next. $29 plus shipping which is pretty reasonable.
They were really nice and efficient and easy to work with, so by the time you have found the resistors at Radio Shack and messed around with a shaky hand on the soldering iron you just may be better to shell out the $29 and let the experts do it for you.

Did you have written instructions or did you just "dig in" and slowly start removing screws? Are their instructions somewhere on the net?
Came across the site you posted above, but was curious about them and/or their work?
Thanks,

There are four metal snaps one in each corner. Slide your finger under the left rear side first and start to apply pressure. When it pops you will think damn I broke it but it probbaly isnt broken. Next go to right rear and do same and then again front right and left.
Unplug the unit. I sent in the whole unit but if you want to reduce the shipping cost remove the 4 torq screws and juts send in the black display part.
