87-96 guys! Speakers?

I am guessing everything changed in 1986 for the speakers, but I don't really know?

Anyway, I picked these up for the rears:

&

I picked these up for the fronts!

Whatcha think!?

What's everyone else running?

If I remember correctly 5 1/4 " front doors and 5x7" or some odd ball like that for the pilars. Most people just put in an adapter with a component set inside. they have alot of replacements now though. I cut my front speaker holes bigger to fit "oversize 6 1/2 aith tweeter. tweeter mounted below and holes drilled thru door panel for sound.

Them speakers are ok but if you are looking for sound quality then go with mb quart, a little expensive but worth every penny, or if yuo still want good sound still but u like to pound ur system then go with kenwood, but there is a certain kind of kenwood.I don't know the numbers but the come looks like braided stainless steel wooven. They will take abuse.

I have JBL 6.5" 3 ways running off a JBL 60 watt/channel amp, and I really enjoy how they sound. I don't have any rear speakers, but in the next few weeks I'm gonna build a box for my JBL GT 10's. Pretty much any aftermarket speaker will sound much better than stock. It's all a matter of personal brand preference and how much you want to pay for speakers.

an easy way to tell if they'll fit is to check crutchfield....they have charts that will tell you what will fit and what won't...of course, anything will fit with a little creative work on the stock openings...

IMHO, the sony xplods suck for the money, but thats me, i bought some 6.5 sony xplods for the front..and blew em, with a headunit putting..50 watts to em, volume turned up maybe 1/3 one day..and boom the one ripped..not good experiences, and..for that 60 dollars, you can buy some rockford fosgates off of ebay, brand new to your door for the same price, and get alot better quality product, no matter what model
