Question bulldog remote start install headaches

I am in the process of install a Bulldog remote start system on my 2002 E-150 van. I have figured out everything but ignition key over ride system, (bulldog module #791). This unit has a wire with a loop on the end that is suposed to go over the ignition key tumbler. I cannot figure out how to install this loop with out cutting the steering column cover. Some how the whole ignition key tumbler must come out but I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

I had to do this on my F150, but your "E" might be different. Turn the key to "on", and insert a pin up in the hole in the shroud.

Good luck...the PATS interface can be tough!
