which speed density heads for 5.8?
I have a 351w sitting in my garage that i want to get some decent power out of. I already decided on a torque cam but i dont know which heads to buy. I was lookgin at the edelbrock performer heads. I'm still speed density and I want to do away with all that tubing going into the manifolds and going all over the place since i already ripped everything off. Should I get non emmisions heads like the performer rpm or get the emmisions heads since i still have to pass emmisions. I was planning on swapping all of my stuff off my 302 and getting rid of anything that wasnt the same emmisions wise. So in conclusion, which heads should i get for some nice torque and hp?

If you wanna keep low end torque then going with an introductory head would be the best way to go, as far as, most aftermarket heads go. Whether or not you retain emissions is up to you. I have been told the only difference between the performer and performer rpm is the performer has the smog hook up and the rpm don't, otherwise they are the same. Just what I have been told, so you should make sure before you make a decision. Might consider having your stock heads ported, larger valves etc. If your looking for low end torque they are more than capable of giving you that. Later
