Noise that doesn't change with rpm's

Hey everyone..

My truck just turned 150k last week! Anyway while I was doing some routine checks (belt, radiator hoses, air filter, vaccuum, etc..." I noticed a strange ticking/tapping noise coming from the passenger side of the engine. Seems like it could be coming from the intake. It doesn't change speed with the rpm's either, what do ya'll think?

Garret

Also how do you tell if your engine is the Romeo or Windsor?

Sounds like the PCV valve. Try a new one.
