7.3 vs 1500 Chevy Suburban
This suburban with some teens in it were acting like fools and zig zaging behind me. The truck seemed to be new since the onstar antennea was on top of the windshield. We got to the red light and the began to step on the accelarator trying to get my bigger fatter X(excursion) to race.... I hesitated but caved in and felt confident my 7.3 would take out the 5.3 even if i wieghed more, was less areodynamic, and had less hp? We took off on green and My X never(impossible to spin out unless wet) burns out i guess because its too hevy too, but they spun out a lilthey were easyly passing me up up intill my turbo kicked in(when all the black smoke billowed from behind) and i edged them up and took the win to victory! I felt imature afterwards but felt happy the heavyer suv won? But i have some questions if yall could please aswer for me.....
1.Is an 7.3X supposed to naturaly beat a 5.3 Sub?
2.When I gun my X it never(NEVER) spinns out like my Expy? why
3.Was the X supposed to lose but the sub driver really wasnt stepping on it all the way?
4. My X stops at 100mph!!! how do i remove the govenor and how fast do yall think it can go? like the top speed of the truck w/o govenor?

i would fully expect a 7.3 ex to pull on a spermbin 5.3, no doubt man....i am curious to hear the weight of both vehicles however, especially with a load of kids on the other thing...
2. slower response due to turbo lag, almost no torque when you hammer a diesel from a stop, but wait 2-3 seconds!
3. kinda the same ? as #1 there...
4. you would need a chip to remove the speed limiter, and i think it would be a bad idea... ex's dont stop from 60mph worth a crap, how are they at 100?? top speed, not more than about 110 i assume, also ASSUME the tires are rated for 99mph from the factory (a guess) and thats why the speed limiter is set at that point?
