ranger VIN location

where is the vin number at on 94 ranger xlt's i thought they were as grapic says, but he says not (its my freinds truck, not mine)

Welcome to FTE Falls,

My VIN is inside of my driver side door; where the door-latch is located. It's the white tag. I'm pretty sure this is where it is on all Rangers.

On the left(drivers) side of the dash where it meets the windshield. The lower edge of the windshield is blacked out and has a notch in this blacked out strip to reveal the VIN.

All the late model vehicles anyway. The sticker on the (original) door is usually easier to read though.

thanks guys. i asked him, and he said there was no vin on the blacked out area of the picture. i'll tell him to try the door thing

I think I'd be a bit nervous with that year vehicle missing its public VIN plate. How long has he had the truck and where did he get it from? It might be stolen.

. No public VIN? Gonna be har to splane that one Lucy!
