What auto transmissions did Ford put in 90 f-150's
I've got a 1990 F-150 XLT x-cab short bed 2 wheel drive 302EFI auto trains. My question is what automatic trainsmissions did Ford put in 1990 F-150's and are there any bad one's, if so what are them? Thanks again you guys.
The AOD should be your transmission, it is a very light duty tranny, but ok if you are not towing much. The E40D is the heavy duty version that comes in the 250s and up. This is a much better tranny for a working truck.
the e4od was offered in the f-150, that's what my '91 had the transmissions ford put in the f150's starting in 87 thru-96 year very light duty and expensive if you needed to get it rebuilt
