Mount my '87 1/2 ton body to an '86 3/4 ton?

Pretty simple question. Reason I ask is that I am doing a 2x4 to 4x4 conversion (1/2 ton running gear) and today saw this in the trading post..... "3/4 ton F-250 complete rolling chassis, 1986, motor, tranny, axles.. everything. Has to go, need the room.." or something like that. I know the body changed with the '87, but do the mounting holes still line up? I'll also have to switch the motor too to meet emissions, but it would be cheaper in the long run if everything is in good conditon. If anything, for 400 OBO i might buy it for my next project truck

I have heard of people bolting down the newer 92-96 fenders and hood and radiator suppost on 86- frames without a problem and the doors are similar as far as ouside diameter so I would say they would switch over without any suprises and weather it is 4X4 or 4X2 doesn't matter so this is just a guess but I would think it would, good luck
