Any helpful hints on 5.0 to 5.8 conversion in a 87 f2504x4? This is my first computer controlled EFI truck and I am ready to jump in.

I would say that you definitely need the wiring harnesses, and computer for the 351. I think the frame mounts are the same. Might look into a different radiator. I know that I am going to be looking for one out of a 460, especially after I got to looking at a buddy of mine's truck the other day.

The radiator in his truck is almost 3 inches thick. The one in mine is only like 1 inch thick. I couldn't believe Ford would use that small of a radiator, in something with a v-8?

The radiator for the 300 inline six that used to be in my truck was almost 2 1/2 to 3 inches thick. Why the difference?

Are you keeping the same tranny? If its Auto, then you may need a different flexplate, a manual may need a new flywheel.

I'm sure there are other things too.
