2004 F150 Xlt 4.6 V8

If you want a 2004 F150 XLT long bed you have to order the
5.4 V8 with 4:10 rear gear. What is that all about? With that
gear you could run at Rockingham speedway or run on I85
in North Carolina and suck up some gas. Does anyone know
if Ford plans to offer the 4.6 V8 with some decent gearing.
Sorry, I should have indicated at the start that I want this
in the supercab version.
thanks, Bill

I've driven the 4.6L in the 2004. The new truck is too heavy for it and you'll be disappointed.

Me & the wife like ours just fine, but we didn't drive the 5.4. It has more pep than I expected with a truck, but it's no cobra.
