John,

I like the subforum idea. I envision a simple area where you could go and with a few selections get straight forward information about whatever part you desire. No opinions or BS just what a panel has decided is exceptable to post. This would be of great value to guys who don't have a lot of time to do searches that will return numerous posts just because a word is included in the text. I think the front suspension is a great place to start.

I just don't understand the push towards Volare. I have seen the weight issue brought up . Would you be surprised to learn that a Mus II weighed nearly 3400 lbs and the weight bias was forward heavy. Well guess what a 57 F100 weighed 3345 lbs with a forward bias on the weight. So you say that you don't want equal you want stronger. Consider this. Most all of us have changed engines. If you went with one of the economizer (small blocks) then you have a saved a few hundred pounds off the front. The Y- block was in the same weight class as a 390/427/428 FE ford motor. You can go from stock to totally wild with the Mus II. Eleven inch brakes are no problem and if you want larger you can have them. You want to talk about good looks. Wow nothing looks as good as a Volare subfarme under a vintage Ford truck. NOT A stock Mus II has clean good looks and if you go after market you can really look sharp. So tell me why is everyone pushing NON FORD products? Let's keep it Ford.

Yep. I think I paid $150 for my setup. Don't remember what the Fatman kit cost but it was pretty cheap. Now if I can just finish this project of about 15 year's or so. I will...haven't given up yet and I will be retiring maybe this Summer.
