96 F250 Conversion from automatic to 5 speed

To covert from an automatic to a five speed for a 1996 F250 diesel requires changing of the flywheel,(to a double mass flywheel), clutch & hydraulics, brake pedal, bell housing, transmission, and possibly drive shaft. In Addition it will require hanging the clutch pedal, and cutting a hole in the transmission cover in the cab floor.
Are there any consequences for any electronics and if so can they just be disconnected?
Many thanks,
Gwyndaf Jones

i believe you might have to get a new computer also. im not sure about 96's, but i know that in late model automatic trucks, the tranny is computer controlled. im not 100% sure on this one, so wait until someone confirms this. good luck!
