2003 F-150 Tranmission P0713, P0712
I was out driving in my 2003 F150. The transmission Slipped on a shift. I noticed the OD light is blinking. Transmission went into OD and drove fine. Pulled codes P0713 and P0712 transmission fluid temperature sensor. Made it home. An hour later tried to back out and now sounds like a grinding or rubbing sound. But it sounds like the sound is coming from the rear end. I am lost.

Why do you feel lost?
You have the codes as transmission temperature sensor going open (high) and shorted (low) as the cause of the OD button flashing.
A noise from some other location is not from the codes.
Look at the harness going to the plugup on the outside for some wire issue.
If not their take the Trans pan down and inspect the wire harness to that sensor for an issue or the sensor itself is now faulty.
You won't find the noise unless you get under the truck and start looking for cross joint failure, some other source of the noise, brakes etc. or maybe something that did damage the wire harness affecting the temp sensor circuit.
The temp sensor circuit failure can prevent the trans from going into OD as a normal effect because this sensor prevent OD normally until is senses fluid is up to temp at about 98 degrees.
Good luck.
