you are making me want to hook up my TT and go camping again, hard to do righ now though, baby sitting sons dogs, they both have separation anxiety (howl and cry when left alone) and one gets car sick. Don't want dog vomit in my truck.

Thanks, I'm retired, grandkids in college, been waiting for truck to go wander around like a homeless man with a dog. Heading to Florida by the end of the week.I want to be in the rockies around August. Daughter convinced me "you can't take it with you". That's all I needed to hear.

Be sure to take your laptop along and report as you go. Would love to see your rig on the road, especially in the Rockies. We spent a 11 days touring the Colorado Rockies for fall color in 2015, just under 4,000 miles round trip. Fall in the Rockies is absolutely phenomenal.

Nice truck! I'm also just happy to see a level rig. It's becoming a lost art these days.

Congratulations and I'm jealous! Great truck and I love the roof rack on your camper.

Is that a weigh safe hitch facing upwards? Seems most are downwards due to the height of this truck. 6 or 8 inch?

Thanks,
Paul

It's a 6". Trailer wheels are 15" with springs on top of the axels. Drove with sway, went home and put the WD hitch on. This morning went to same road and it was a whole different drive. Not a bit of sway. Set cruise control to 80 for about 30 miles and felt no sway. I guess you don't have to use a WD, but with it the ride and handling improvement was what I expected from an 80K truck.

I did the same thing. Next test run will be with the WDH. That's too bad since towing with the weigh-safe requires a lot less time connecting/disconnecting.

Your trailer isn't a toy hauler is it? It kind of has the same look as my toy hauler but I didn't think that Northwoods has a toy hauler in that model line.

Let me know how the WDH test worked out. That first drive I started out just to get used to how the truck and TT would feel before leaving Thursday for FL. The ride felt like it had to much tongue weight, but the scale said I was in the safe range at about 14%. I know that's a little on the heavy side, but it felt a lot worse than that. I really didn't expect the difference with the WDH to be as much as it was.
I was disappointed the most as I have to keep doing the connecting/disconnect hassle.
Not a toy hauler. 2017 Snow River 246RKS. Makes a nice home away from home for me and the dog.
