Afternoon all, my 1964 f100 is progressing nicely. I'm in the process of installing a 2004 crown Vic front end into it and I'm looking for a few good ideas for lowering the rear axle. I have removed a leaf and I have used the djm drop shackle kit. But none seem to drop the truck to the level I'd like to match the front. Does anyone know of a flip axle kit that will work on my '64?
I believe mounting the axle above the lead spring will solve my lowering issue. I'll just c-notch the frame and I believe that will work.
any info or insight I can get will be of huge value to me. Thank you again.

 

pretty easy to make mounts to weld to the bottom of the axle housing. If you're not capable, any decent welding shop should be able to fab them up pretty quick.

 

Did you use the DJM drop shackle kit for a 65 F100? If so, did it fit without any mods? Called DJM and they weren't sure if the kit would fit. Also, do you have any pics with the kit installed?
