Stock Mirrior?

Stock Mirrior?
Trying to get some information (a reference or your experience) on what was done to the truck that was aftermarket or original. I am going for as close to original but customized to make driving a pleasure. The small mirrors make lane changes a bit of a guess, were these stock? I have only been able to find pictures of the standard fold away larger type, my worry is that someone swapped them out and patched n painted the original mounting holes. I don't see any obvious signs of where they were. I'd like to keep same style shown in the picture, but a larger version. Did Ford offer such a thing, or will I have to drill holes to get the original look back. Again, not a fan of the big bulky look, but also don't want an obvious aftermarket product.

Are they the ones used on the later trucks?
The type 9 is what you are talking about. I bought a set from LMC and they did fit the 2 holes in the top of the door. The 2 lower holes use nut certs you install after drilling 2 holes. The hard wear comes with the mirrors.
I went with the type 9 because the truck came with none, they are larger and I plan on pulling a trailer when needed and need good mirrors.

Chrome mirror pictured in post #1 is not correct for 1980 and later. It's not a TYPE 14 shown in the 1980/89 parts catalog mirror pic.
It's C7AZ-17696-A (1967/72 car & F100/350/Bronco-standard equipment "el cheapo" mirror) that LMC is calling a "sports" mirror.
Standard equipment mirrors were placed inside the cab at final assembly, because the dealers installed all the outside mirrors.
If people didn't want them, would select something else, or go to an auto parts store or junkyard.
btw: Most dealers were inundated with C7AZ mirrors.
I personally THREW AWAY 100's of these mirrors that were in a huge wooden crate at Crenshaw Motors Ford, because no one wanted them...even for a buck apiece.
