1987 F250 draining battery

Hello,

I have a 1987 F250 with a 460. It appears to be draining the battery. The battery was completely dead this morning, no radio even. It was just driven last week. I put my charger on the battery and the charger showed it needed charging. I have not tried to start it yet but I expect it will start when charged.

Is there a typical suspect on these that drain the batteries? What's the best process for tracking this down?

Thank for any help,
Kevin

1987 F250 draining battery

I saw another post related to the battery draining. From that I got that I should check the alternator, don't know if that applies to my year though. Also monitor amp draw and pull fuses until the draw goes away. Any other hints or tips?
