My thoughts. Ficm stays at 48.1-48.3 through key on to idle.

Try archoil or just take it to a shop?

Yeah, but that doesn't tell what is going on with the logic side. Without having it tested you don't know, but I would test unless you've sorted out that you need big bucks for injectors.

Archoil worked for me a few years until the injector finally could not be helped. And it only works for spool stiction, not electrical or downstream mechanical. However, it's a good first step, especially on a dollar cost basis.

A proper IDS test, both cold and hot, could run about 2 bills at the dealer.

Unfortunately, no.

The Ford IDS is able to shut off the software contribution which adjusts the fuel output per each injector, and by shutting it off you can see the faults of each injector. You can also buzz the injectors and the program run through each injector individually to check them electrically. And the last, you can check relative compression to get an indicator how each cylinder is sealing. Not as good as a real compression check, but useful.

Your starting to get into questions that would be best posted in the 6.0L forum.

Amplifiers are interesting in that depending upon the design of the electronics as well as how they are wired for power and load(speakers) - the amp could be drawing 175amps while at rest not producing any sound.... cheap amplifiers could easily do that.

That truck has an alternator that is rated for 110amps, right there your stereo amp is probably sucking your batteries dry taking their voltage below 12v. That is how you destroy the FICM and your truck would run poorly or not at all.
Wrong, the amp will not pull 175 amps, not even close. Been doing high end installs a while. More like 35 amps at high volume.

He's approaching it from the angle that the amp will consume 2100W at 12V, not that it will put out however many alleged watts to a certain number of drivers at certain resistance.
