Mystery connectors.

Trying to fix the wiring back to its factory condition, what are these connectors for? And yes, I did much research before posting here and it answered most of my question but this is what I got left.

I've got these three connectors in the engine bay, one of which has a jumper on it. What are these for? Also got two purple/white wires that go somewhere.

Then I've got two down along the frame rail. I know one of em gots to be for the 19 gallon tank sending unit cause mine had nothing hooked to it. I'm think the green one is for sending unit and is missing the rest of the pigtail but not sure.

The one with the jumper is for your reverse lights to work. Is it a standard trans?

Wiring diagrams here, and post #11 scroll just a bit. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post14696846

And some of those pics need to be backed off just a bit so we can see the surrounding area the wiring is in. At least for me anyway...lol

Oh sorry. All this wiring is in the corner where the module is located except the two by the frame rail. My truck is an automatic and is missing the nss which is also bypassed by a jumper.

This is the only big picture I have from when I was diagnosing a bad module.

Ok thanks, so its a early 77 with the NSS on the steering column or late 77 and the NSS is on the side of the trans? None the less that jumper is for the reverse for a standard trans truck. At least that is what I copied and pasted from mikeo0o0o0 a while back.

Sorry that is all I have unless I go look at my truck to get an idea. I'd guess that lone bullet female plug (by the rear shock) is for the rear fuel tank sending unit.

1973/77: NSS located on the steering column (same NSS all A/T's 1967/77) // 1978/79: NSS located on transmission, C4 NSS different than C6.

Its suppose to have the nss on the column but the PO swapped in a 78 column so its not there.

As for the lone bullet plug. The plug for the rear tank is there but I didn't post a pic. So these other two plugs are for something else. Ones got to be for the front tank but I'm not sure which. They both only have one terminal.

So the plug with the jumper is factory for trucks with the automatic trans?

Here is my writing harness that goes under the chassis up to the bay. I color coded everything as best I could. As to which plug goes to which connector.

Red- this plugs into the block where all the brake line are at. I think this is for for the low brake switch, maybe this is what the pink wires are suppose to go to? Does this sound right?

Green- I think is for the two connectors that go to each gas tank but where is the other end that it plugs into in the engine bay?

Orange- the one single plug that has nothing on etheir end to plug into. I have no idea what it's for. Any ideas?

Blue- that is brake lights, blinkers, etc

Does this sound right to y'all?

The large round connector w/blue wire (orange) looks like it goes to "4WD indicator lamp". I believe they are referring to the "lock" light used with NP-203 full-time 4WD.

Well I think I have the np203. Do I? If so, I'll have to see if I can find where this plugs in to.

And does that pink wire sound correct for the low brake light. Thanks

That looks like a NP 205 part-time case. The shifter should be marked 4L-N-2H-4H. You should have lock-out hubs. It does not use an indicator light. Pink wire should be for brake warning light.
