I looked through my wiring diagram. I believe that if you have a had a regulator malfunction it may have killed the power going to your cab altogether. I'd start there or in that area. Good luck and keep us posted!

Well Red I put in a new voltage regulator and now I at least have power to the dome light but still now power to the fuse block. I guess it's time for a beer or two to think on it some more.

Ok let me go look at my 74 and see if I can come up with some more suggestions for you. I'm certain others here can help out as well.

Green with red stripe wire is also hot with key off I believe but I don't have a test light handy right now. It comes from my 3G alternator heading into the cab. Black with white stripe coming off of solenoid. Always hot. Its a fusible link on my truck. Those three are it.

Check to see if you have the black wire with white stripe coming off of the solenoids battery side. Its a fusible link and may look ok but may have burnt through. Its definitely hot with key off.

I have a black wire coming off the solenoid that is fused going to the alternator and it has power. I found a green/red wire from the alternator going into the cab that has no power.

Green/red should be hot when key is in run position. The black wire is the fusible link. It should be hot going into the cab. If its burnt it may not show up easily. Need to follow its entrance into the cab. Chances are if its burnt through it will be within a couple ft of the solenoid.

The green/red is not hot when the key is in the run position. Tomorrow I will unwrap the black wire to the cab.

Thanks for all the help. I hate to admit how stupid I am but here goes. All the time the problem was the hot yellow wire came unplugged from the ignition wiring harness. LOL
