Help: at a loss in seeking tube steps for 2000 Expo
as noted above I am at a loss. I am looking for OEM or OEM-like grey (anodized?) oval tube 'steps' or rails for a 2000 Expedition.
it came with those, so I thought it would be fairly easy to find used, NOS, etc. I was very wrong. been looking for months. one has rusted and I want to replace it with the same thing. I have looked for Ford OEM parts, googled them, searched forums (including here) and likely sites, no dice.
can anyone suggest someone/some place that might have a set of these? Thanks.

You might be having trouble because you're searching for "tube steps" when you should be searching for "nerf bars."

thanks for the response, and for going to the trouble to find a relevant site!
I have looked at nerf bars too. maybe I missed what I'm looking for....
for example, at the Autos Anything site you posted I found oval bars, but virtually all are in black or SS, I found none that are grey, and none matches the OEM bars. i'll search through there again. Lund has some that are close.
I want to maintain the original look, but....

Okay sorry I missed the wanting OEM in your message, I thought you just wanted to add some basic replacements.
Here are the OEM ones (expensive if you want new). There were no Gray listed, but there was one Silver and several Platinum ones. Perhaps yours is more silver or platinum in color and just looks gray?

Hey, thanks. I looked at these previously, but this time I called two local dealers. neither was sure but one was pretty confident that the Platinum might be the ones I have (I thought mine were the Silver....). going to take the truck over, have them look at it and - I hope- order.
Thanks to all who responded. I will update in a couple of weeks with the result.
BTW: this is for my bought-new 2000 XLT Expedition. it's been great. coast-to-coast. towing. a little off-road. a kid carrier. it's been (almost) trouble free. of course, it only has 115,7xx miles.

well, went to the dealer that thought they could get the part. no dice. surprisingly, for a 2000 Expedition XLT (there are still a lot of them on the road) it shows in their system as "obsolete; not available for sale". in fact, I have submitted a new post here looking for leads on finding such parts.
anyway, thanks for the assist. FWIW, I am looking for part # XL1Z16450CAD.
