Just passin on my info & experience>>>>
This is a little bit belated, but thought I'd pass it on for future possibilities>>>
I've been told by a Ford Trans Tech with over 50 yrs of experience that you DO NOT want to do a complete trans flush UNLESS the vehicle has had it done all its life. Just do the filter & fluid change and you will be good to go.
I can personally tell you that I'd bought an 87 Silverado years ago and did the trans flush, then dropped the pan, it was filled with a handful of debris, cleaned it out, did the filter change, topped off the trans with new fluid, and lasted 50 miles before the trans went out.
