What engine do you have? I believe the F7-8 came with the big 337 V8 engine.....not sure if they share the same bolt pattern as the smaller engines.
With the right combination of parts it might be possible. Or it may require an adapter....
Also likely you will need to modify trans mounts and drive shaft.
EDIT: If you are looking to gain speed/gears, an auxilliary trans like a brownie might be simpler.

thanks for reply tinman 52 , engine is 289 or 302 with the stock 1951 4 speed,i belive it to be the t98,i am only interested in more speed so any kind of aux trans or overdrive unit just dont know if the f7 5 speed 204vo will bolt up and im not sure what bell housing or adapter plate i have now im trying to run at 2000 rpm with the stock 2 speed rear end 8r brigestones my calculations say 40 mph would like to get at least 50 mph out of it at 2000 rpm

Most of the Clark 5 speeds I have seen use what's called an SAE bell housing setup. These are a standardized size with an adapter plate for different engines. Very HD and usually use a bigger clutch as well.
If you could find that whole setup from another truck, you'd be golden.
The Spicer aux trans would be much easier though, IMO.

That little gem was discontinued in the late '60's and is highly sought after, but there was also a Muncie counterpart. Sorry, don't remember the p/n.
