Detroit Axle front upper control arms

thinking of buying new front control upper arms on ebay. The brand is Detroit Axle, a pair cost $65.
anyone tried this out?

I bought power steering rack from them before on my Mountaineer and LS, they're OK for the price I paid.

my junkyard coil snapped and I'm planning on replacing it with a new one instead. Better to have the control arms replaced at the same time since the ball joint boots are in bad shape.

Bottom tier Ebay suspension parts are probably not the best place to save a few dollars. I have heard of their name before on other forums I visit, they have a reputation for selling stuff that doesn't last very long and is non oem size

Especially wheel hubs. I tried a few and they just don't last. I think they do not put enough grease in them, or it's an inferior grease.

bit the bullet, ordered it and will be arriving this weekend. Planning on doing it along my new coil overs.

I usually buy stuff in ebay and since this truck is not a daily driver, don't want to invest in pricey stuff. I bought steering rack from them before and there's some quality issues visually but they're not junk (still running fine) I've seen reviews about their wheel hubs/bearing and they're not really good that's why I'm asking if somebody has experience with their control arms. I bought stuff from primechoice before (rear coil overs) and they're very decent (struttek)

I'll update if I did the wrong move.

got it installed this weekend and the detroit axle control arms weren't that bad. it came with a protective plastic for the ball joint.
the bushing is non-oem (no ford stamped on the rubber) but as long as I torque it with the load on it should be ok. hopefully the rubber boot on the ball joint will last. I will be keeping the old one just in case.

exact fit..<br/>

with new suspension

Can you give a link to that Ebay listing? I just bought a set for my Explorer dated June 04 and when I went back to read the description it says it only fits auto leveling 04 expeditions built before 11/30/03

the auto leveling has a socket for the ride height sensor.

it's the same control arm for both, the only difference is that they welded that socket for auto leveling.

it's an issue if you have air suspension and ordered the standard since there's no way to connect the sensor.
