Question Haven't seen this topic, No Horn or cigarette lighter. No it's not the fuse.

I sold my daily driver and my Jeep, I bought a 1989 EB Bronco XLT.
Almost everything works, including locks and windows. I didn't notice the problem because I don't smoke. I went to plug my cell phone charger into the cigarette lighter. It didn't work. So I go to check the fuse and go figure it's good. I notice the horn comes off the same fuse. HMMM no horn either. So I replaced the fuse anyway still nothing. Any ideas?

A relay or something?

I don't have the Haynes or Chilton yet as I ordered them mail order.

Don't know about horn but previous owner may have used the lighter hot wire for a radio installation or accessory. Does the cruise still work? I think it's on the same circuit.

It could actually be 2 completely unrelated things causing this, do you hear a click when you hit the horn? If not I'm betting you have a bad horn relay. I am also willing to bet that someone has had the cigar lighter assembly apart and failed to reconnect it.

I'm glad you asked. Yes, I here a click in the glove compartment area. I haven't checked the connections to the cigarette lighter or for that matter the horn. It could I suppose be a bad horn and it could for that matter be getting power just the horn is not working. Also could be a bad ground. After I check these things I'll post again with whether or not that is the solution or I must look elsewhere.
