13A battery drain, falls to 1A? Cant locate it?
I have a gremlim in my yellow submarine that is driving me nuts! I have a battery drain on my truck, that i cany seem to locate. i unhook the batteries, put my ammeter between the negative cable and negative post. Amp jump to 13a, then fall to a 1A load. i have pulled every fuse, every relay i can find, no change. being an electrician, i am leaning towards some sort of winding, because it acts like inrush current? but vehicle electician, i am not. so I need some pointers. Any ideas?

Normal really. When you're putting power back to all the modules, the electronics such as capacitors have to be "filled" with electrons waking up all the modules showing a draw. Any modern vehicle sparks when you first hook up a new battery. Was this discussed once already in another thread? I'm having Déjà vu.

PMax, shorter then the real time response rate, is a little up there. An ammeter with a shorter refresh rate then the little ammeter should show something between the two.

Kind of explains the energetic blue spark.
