First long run

First road trip with the f250 and I could not be more pleased with how the truck ran. 90-100 MPH was smooth as glass with power to burn when you needed it. Night and day better than my 2012 Raptor.....well done FORD !!!

Glad you like it. These things have a governor that prevents them from hitting 100mph. I've briefly gone 90, there is no lack of power.

I had a 2013 6.7 with 3:55 gears and it hit 100 mph and that was the limit. Now I have a 2016 with 3:73 gears, and it is limited to 95 mph. Not sure if it is speed limited or RPM limited, but it seems the gear ratio will make a difference in your top end.

I think it is a speed limiter. There are plenty more RPMs to go in 6th gear at 90+ mph before the fuel cutoff.

Straight line flat flat roads are fine for high speed, but I wouldn't want to be cornering much in these at that velocity.

I believe the truck is governed due to the speed rating of the tires. The "R" rating is limited to 106 MPH.

Was that speed registered on the speedo or GPS?
I see you're running 35" tires.

sweet

This new 6.7 compared to 12 loves to go 80-90 with the rest of highway very easy my 2012 felt kind of sluggish past 75 Plus sound pretty mean doing it.

I hit an indicated 95 in my dually last night on the Interstate. Just briefly, don't need any more good driving awards. It gets there very fast and is rock solid stable.

Yes, almost every vehicle in production today is governor limited.
