OK, finally got the information for TRUCKSTOCK 2017 and contract signed. First off the dates are for September starting on Wed. the 13th if you choose to come early, Thur. the 14th, Fri the 15th, Sat. the 16th and leave on Sun, the 17th. The reservation number is 1-866-462-8853 or 502-732-4384, we have 15 cabins and 15 dbl. rooms at the Lodge on hold, as of August 13th these rooms and cabins will be released so book as early as you can. When making reservations be sure to inform them you are with TRUCKSTOCK 2017 for our rates. The Lodge rooms are 2 dbl. beds, 99.95 plus taxes per night. The 1 bed room cabins are 109.95, the 2 bed room cabins are 149.95 but only have I bath room, the 3 bed room cabins are 169.95 but still only have 1 bath room. This is per night plus taxes. They do not guarantee cabin numbers, just guarantee the type cabin requested so again inform them you are with TRUCKSTOCK 2017 and they are going to try their best to group us together. There is also camping if you desire camping spots, limited pull thru so again call early, I'm sorry I did not get price for camp sites. This is a small scale park but I think it will serve our needs very well. Now for some info of surrounding area, within 1.5 miles there is a Waffle House, McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, EL Nepal Mexican and very nice private owned Mexican Rest that also serves excellent steaks and ribs. The restaurant at the Lodge is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet, plus order from menu. The lodge rooms and restaurant are about 1/2 mile from the cabins and camping area. Within 1 mile from cabins and camping area is a Kroger Store and also a Walmart with gas at both locations. My sister has a small BBQ Rest close by and she will do BBQ and 2 sides for $5.00 per meal maybe catered or possible cruise 15 miles for maybe lunch on Saturday at the Pig Pen, we can discuss this later and with grocery as close as they are there should be NO need for anyone to try and pack food for the event although the soup, salads and of course the wonderful cookies sure are good There should be plenty of shade and I will take my enclosed trailer with awning, a grill and large cooler and go from there. We have plenty of time to decide what and when we want to eat but please don't expect a shrimp boil and food like this year, that was way over the top. I know I'm forgetting something so we will have to figure it out as things arise, thanks for everyones input and any questions I will try to answer.. I knew I was forgetting something, TRUCKSTOCK 2017 will be held at General Butler State Park in Carrollton Kentucky which is just off of Interstate 71, it is exit 44 between Louisville, Ky. and Cincinnati, Ohio along the Ohio River, 44 miles from Louisville and 65 miles from Cincinnati. If you will be traveling on I71 both north and south when you take exit 44 you will turn right at the end of the exit ramp and general Butler will be about 1.5 miles on the left, check in for everything is at the Lodge which is at the top of the hill maybe 3/4 mile, you will pass the entrance to the cabins and camping at the bottom of the hill by the lake, sorry Garry.

I have resources like folding tables, chairs, small pop-up canopies, and larger 10'x20' canopies.

(I have a 10'x20' with walls, an air compressor, and a HVLP gun, if someone wants to paint my truck while we're there.)

A small pop-up would never hurt, some of the 2 bd. rm. have covered porches we could use in case of rain but we won't talk about that anymore. I'll put you in the book, how many will be with you and what day will you arrive?

I reserved a 2 bedroom cabin. Not sure how many of my bunch will make the trip. The rain doesn't bother me now. I know what to do for next time if it happens again. Just 9 months away!!

Yes it will be, come enjoy, lot of time to save the dates, if you haven't been to TRUCKSTOCK you are missing a great time with great friends. It is possible to put a face to the names you have been talking to for years and it doesn't break the bank so we're looking forward to seeing you.

 

I plan on making the reservation as soon as the "BOSS" says which type of cabin or lodge room she wants. Had a great time at TS16 and looking forward to TS17 I still look at the Studebaker as if it is the F3 ( A guy can dream can't he?)

Just reserved a 1 bdrm cabin. I will try to make the beast look like the old F3 but it may have to be a 4 door.
