Yeah, when I blew my head gasket on the first motor (long story), it was squirting out of the degas cap.

it does. They only come with it. It should not affect anything at 1200. I run mine hrs on end at 1200. You just had a bad rad. These trucks have an overheat sensor that lights a light over by the wts light. Your bulb could be burned out but more likely it just needed a rad. I have never seen the cap blow off on one of these. That tank is made to somewhat absorb the pressure by the air up top compressing in my head.
Poor truck can't help it that somebody abused it and somebody else lied about it.

I never seen the light. I better check it.. the temp gauge showed it was pegged at hot. I had the truck floored up a log hill so i guess it overheated from that... in 36* temps????/ I don't know it is a new t stat too. has not been an issue on the few trips I have taken it on.. The new Rad came in and she is purdy. I'm having a shop put it in... too cold and i just dont have time or sunlight to do it.

Did you install the new tstat? Where did it come from?
I had troubles with my truck, after installing 3 different parts store tstats. Got one from Ford. Never had a problem since

I'll take it one step farther. I did what Brian did and still had problems with a Ford one. The 180° I mentioned did the trick.

I don't remember, likely rockauto. what is the difference with the 180? made better or just cooler. I don't see how it would cool any better is the whole system is overheating like mine did. I wonder if all the stuff in front of the radiator is hurting it ? ac, 6.0 trans and intercooler.

I have the ac, intercooler and 32 roll 6.0 trans cooler. I think its just made better and is designed to run cooler. The Ford one I bought at a dealer was a 192° and it ran hot. The 180° I got from Riffraff.
