This is way too complicated. I vote "borrow" a manhole cover, bolt it to the stand plate and bolt the engine to it.

Drilling holes should be easy since they're usually pot-metal and if you feel like cutting it down to no bigger than the SBF bell-housing pattern the sawzall and some good blades will make quick work of it.

I'm only half joking about that.

Shopping carts make great engine stands too.

 

...Oh boy what fun. Buying a stand not inline six friendly..I just do them on cardboard. Early days on the ground with plenty tarps.. Now got a nice carport and concrete. Still do the cardboard.. The harbor freight engine hoist on that sale they had during the pre-covid days. Nice to have but think the hydraulic Rams go fast..Get a new better ram.. No one makes a dolly for the 300-6...And it's nice to have one where you can test start the motor.. The bell housing plate on Ford makes ground starting an issue.. Ford needs a special dolly..Chevy i-6 just roll'em around on cardboard. No one gives inline six people any respect ! The winner of the weekend overhaul speed contest... One head. One exhaust.. Drive to work on Monday morning with a fresh motor ! OMG.. and points ? Points will get yer butt off Normandy Beach & on yer way quicker than getting blown up waiting for a module from the states. I see the thread alive again, thank for passing by, of course you don't see many inline sixes on stands, most of them do the work on ground or on a bench.
In post#2 Mtphammer says he got one from Harbor freight and is ding fine.

Hello David, thanks for asking, I am around, thought a lot of coming over to the states fetching some parts and catching old trucks show. Things didn't go wright, but still on plan just waiting for the COVID19 to ease up.
