52 f1 what is best chassis parts catalog/CD

Need reference data on chassis parts that show parts and drawings that includes 52 F1.

Understand they are now on CD. What is the best one to purchase.

Thanks

Tom

I think this is what you want:
1948-56 Ford Truck Master Parts Catalog CD - HiPo Parts Garage

The CD contain PDF files which are nice because you can copy them to your hard drive and mark them up with notes, bookmarks and highlights with Adobe Acrobat reader

No disputing the CD and its related 1964 reprint version of the 1948-1956 Chassis Catalog are handy references. But it won't show all the parts that were original to your truck. It eliminates parts that Ford obsoleted entirely, or lists substitute parts that may not look or fit like your originals. There might be times you would benefit having an original print copy from 1952 or 1954. Stu

Catalog is actually 1948/52 Ford Truck Chassis & 1953/56 Ford Truck Chassis & Body Parts.

It does not include body parts for 1948/52, as these parts are listed in a different catalog not available on a C/D

1944/52 Ford Passenger Car & Truck Body Parts Catalog is reprinted by faxonautolit.com, but it's half the size of the original and Faxon wants 75 bucks for it.

Look on ebay for an original, make sure the seller isn't Faxon. He has originals, but wants mega-bucks for them.

Thanks for the info. I have a copy of the 44-52 Ford body parts catalog. Used it many times while working on my 49 convertible.

Thanks again,

Tom

Not exactly sure how to interpret what you wrote Bill. My point was that entire groupings, for example the 6775 group that includes the under radiator splash pans, are not in the 1964 reprint copy. Unless the print version is different than the CD version (which I don't have). I've also found similar issues on my exhaust, upper radiator pipe, and others that aren't on the tip of my tongue (finger!). No quarrel that the CD or reprint copies cover the vast majority of parts and are enough for most guys' needs. If your only point was that I cited the title wrong, okay. Stu

What you said.
The 1948/56 Ford Truck Parts Catalog is actually composed of: 1948/52 Chassis Parts & 1953/56 Chassis and Body Parts.

1948/52 body parts are listed in a different catalog.

I'm aware that this catalog has a whole raft of missing part numbers, because when Ford obsoletes a part number, it won't be listed in the next edition of the catalog.

Example: 1980/89 truck catalog (final printing 3/1994-available on a C/D) has no kick panels listed for 1980/86's, as they were obsoleted.

But I have a 3/1989 edition of this catalog on microfiche, so when someone in the 1980/86 forum asked questions about these kick panels, I gave him the info.

It took a whole lot of two finger typing.
