Dash Vibration

Any of you guys hear a vibration in your dash when stopped and in gear? Sounds like high center, maybe over the gauge cluster. Only in first, with the brakes applied. If I shift to neutral it stops, also if I shift to manual, and into 2nd it also stops. It's not loud, but I can hear it with the stereo off. Stethoscope is next.

I had this issue on mine and there was a loose ground strap behind the firewall (engine side) on the drivers side which was loose. It was tightened down and immediately the noise went away. I thought it was going to have to have the dash pulled...

Hey guys, bringing this back up.

I traced the vibration into the engine compartment, sounds like down next to the motor. Cold weather here has kicked it up, and now I can create the sound in park, not just in 1st gear. Immediately goes away under acceleration.

Power steering pump? Possible? Any other ideas?

Thanks much.

Mine was a loose ground wire engine bay driver side. Once tightened up it took rid of the vibration. Bring it in to the dealer mine was a quick fix.

Sounds bigger than a loose ground, I'm calling tomorrow. Thank you!

Mine was noisy too...if it keeps up in the spring I'll peel it apart and apply graphite as appropriate.
