Ordered 17' F-350 Platinum!
New to the forum, I placed an order a few days ago for:
17' White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat F-350 Platinum
SWD
4x4
Crew Cab
Long Bed
Diesel
I went with the following options:
* White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat
* 6.7L POWER STROKE V8 DIESEL
* 3.55 ELECTRONIC LOCKING AXLE
* PREMIUM FLOOR COVERING
* FX4 OFF-ROAD PACKAGE
* RAPID HEAT SUPPLEMENTAL HEATER
* ENGINE BLOCK HEATER
* SNOW PLOW PACKAGE
* STOWABLE LOADING RAMPS
* 5TH WHEEL HITCH PREP PACKAGE
* REAR INFLATABLE SEAT BELTS
* SPLASH GUARDS - FRONT
* TRANS POWER TAKE-OFF PROVISION
* CST TRLTPMS/CAM *DLRINSTLD ACY (Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring/Additional camera)
* UPFITTER SWITCHES
* TOUGH BED SPRAY IN BED LINER
* PLATINUM ULTIMATE PACKAGE
** I was going to go with the 11,400 GVW derate package but it would appear California changed the laws Jan 1, 2016 on what requires an MCP (Motor Carrier Permit), AKA stickers on the doors marking it as a commercial vehicle due to its weight. It would appear if its for personal use and towing personal trailers you no longer have to derate the truck below 11,500 GVW (stock F350). You still pay the normal weight fees though though for 10,001-15000 GVW + registration.
I ordered it through Morgan Hill Ford here in Northern California and they said it should take about 8-10 weeks. Looking forward to it!
I'm sure a lot of you went through the ordering process for a custom 2017, any advice you'd like to pass along?

Figured I would give everyone an update. The truck went into the Ford order system 12/7/2016 and it has been in "processing" ever since according to Ford.com chat. I emailed my dealer inventory manager today and he gave me this update:
- In Order Processing Scheduled to Week (Week -of Jan-30-2017)
Ford Kentucky Truck Plant 2, KY (Updated Dec 15th 2016)
"To be built the first week of Feb 2017 which should get it here before the end of Feb"
