Keeping stock sticks. D66 or 1.0 housing and ww2?

Hi guys, starting to get money again to start tinkering with my truck again. Was wanting to upgrade my turbo. Was either gonna go with the D66 because it's drop in. But not sure if it's worth it with stock sticks. Should I go D66 or just rebuild my turbo with a 1.0 housing, ww2, and new exhaust pinwheel and shaft? Thanks in advance.

I have the D66 on my first PSD which I still own and think its a waste of $ I spent. I couldn't tell the difference in performance over stock. For $1,100 I would do other mods.

I would say the same as Glenn. Save your money. Do a t4 setup. You can run a stock turbo on 1''s and it will do OK. If you were close to me we could do a deal on a near new d66 and spider and up pipes.... I am frustrated with it and should have just gone t4 right away but I was fixing parts as they broke and not educated on the end result.

Thanks for info guys. I'll stick with the stock and just do riff raff billet, 1.0 housing, and new upgraded shaft and exhaust wheel. Who makes an upgraded shaft and exhaust wheel? Or will the stock one be fine as long as it's not damaged?

As long as there isn't any play up or down and side to side play then I think you could run it awhile and plan on future mods as your saving your money.

If you want to do the 66mm contact barber turbo. They'll sell you everything throng to need to do a rebuild and convert the stock turbo to 66mm for about half the cost of the d66

YOU have get issues when towing. THE LAST thing you even want to consider is a 1.0 housing from everything I have read. You will really be crying then worse than ever I have a strong suspicion.

The only thing a stocker is good for is removing for a t4 setup.
