Introduction New Guy 1952 Mercury M3
Hello everyone,
My name is Chris and I am located in south east Saskatchewan. I recently purchased a 1952 Mercury M3. It was almost complete except for the gas tank, seat, and tailgate. I have located a gas tank, seat, and I have a tailgate on the way. I have been reading some of the threads here, and have bought a Dana 60 rear end with 3.73 gears from a 1971 F250, some newer 16" Ford 8-bolt F250 rims and four P235/85R16 tires to replace the widowmakers and bias ply tires for the time being. The motor is seized from sitting, but everything is there. I also have another box and rear fenders. The previous owner was going to put the cab and box on an S10 chassis, but lost interest. He had removed the front fenders and front facia, but that is about as far as he got. I would like to keep it as original as I can, and drive it the way it is, but not before making sure all the brakes, exhaust, tires, etc. are rebuilt and/or in a safe condition to do so. That will be a ways down the road for sure. Here are a couple of photos of when the previous owner had it, and one photo as it sits today just after I bought it. I will have lots of questions along the way I am sure.
Best regards,
Chris
