56k? You whippersnapper!

I thought the 14.4 that replaced my 2400 was fast.

I remember the first computer we had, an 8088, using the 5.25 floppy's and having a chest to hold them all. Green monochrome screen that was about 12 inches. Dot matrix printer.

Hey, where's the OP? On with the story!

I remember when the teleco was offering ISDN "high speed" lines to the house in 64K and 128K and we jumped at the opportunity to have high speed data.

They actually cut us off because the promotion was for "high speed data anytime" and we were using it a lot more than they thought we would and the guy on the phone told me "sir, it is anytime, not all the time...".

I used that in the 7th grade to connect to a specific server in order to play games. We had no computer screen, just a dot matrix printer with a keyboard that was used to communicate with the computer on the other side. But it was before Atari.

I dedicated my phone line to this thread for an hour or two so it could load, and I will keep dedicating it to the cause until the story and pictures are revealed.

I replaced the IBM sensor with a 95% OEM compatible one off of Ebay and it still doesn't run.
