Hi all! On Saturday, I became the proud owner of a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer AWD V8 (made it official with registration today). It's in pretty good condition, but the third row seats won't go down, because it's missing the top lever (see pic). The guy who sold it to me said there's a way around this with pliers, but I would like to repair it (two black wires are inside the hole).

Imagine my surprise when I searched for "Mountaineer third-row lever" on eBay and couldn't find a single one available! Am I calling it by the wrong name? I ever searched for an Explorer one, and still nothing. Any ideas, because I don't want to buy a whole new third row. Thanks in advance!

 

I think what you're looking for is the rear seat back (or 3rd row) adjust handle and bezel. They are getting more difficult to find though.
